History
Applied Quantum Materials Inc. began operation in 2016 to commercialize disruptive nanotechnology developed at the University of Alberta. The company, located in the Edmonton Research Park, designs and manufactures high-performance, silicon- germanium- and carbon- based nanomaterials.
AQM’s manufacturing methods assure economies of scale and product uniformity. We drive innovation to commercial success by lowering costs while improving efficiency and quality without compromising performance. Our quantum dots enable the next level of performance for consumer and industrial products in the areas of semiconductor fabrication, displays, building integrated photovoltaics, energy, security and medical applications.
